Avigail Grile, also known as Avi, is an 11-year-old girl, born and raised, in Bloomington, IN. She is currently in the 5th grade at Edgewood Intermediate School where she has been involved in Spell Bowl and Eagle Eye News. When she isn’t busy writing poetry, stories and screenplays she enjoys spending time with her friends, family, her 2 dogs, 4 guinea pigs, 1 cat and Netflix.
Avigail wants to live in a world where superpowers and mythical creatures are real and guinea pigs have an empire of their own. However, if that doesn’t work out, she would like to be an actor/writer when she grows up. She’d love to one day act/write for major films.

1st PLACE – 6th-8th Grade
Justice Ulmet (playwright) a seventh-grade homeschooler from Bloomington, Indiana is debuting his first production “The Singing Tree” during this performance. No stranger to the stage, he has studied theater craft over the years including with IU Education professor Gustave Weltsak, theater camp with BPP, theater camp at the Monroe County History Center, storytelling with Emily Bedwell, acting with John Brown and musical theater camp at BAFT. He has also performed in numerous productions for Barb Phillips, playwright and director of children’s theater at Southern Hills church of Christ. Most recently, Justice starred as Marcus in the musical, “Hankerin’ Hillbillies” for Bloomington TheatreWorks. Other interests include running cross-country with Bloomington Bobcats, participating in Track and Field with Indy Genesis, being a fifth year 4H member with Smithville Samaritans, being a huge history buff and writing, of course! He would like to thank BPP for this opportunity and his family for supporting him.

Trinity Kessinger is a fun, loving, and creative person that never runs out of ideas. She attends The Academy of Science and Entrepreneurship and wishes to go into the field of forensic science. Her favorite things are Coffee Monsters, anime, and skateboarding. She has always loved being a part of theater (favorite part is the costumes), but this is her first ever written play!

Landon Smith is a 9 year old fourth grade student at University Elementary School. He enjoys cooking, fishing, swimming, and traveling. In addition to writing mini-plays, Landon also expresses his creativity through drawing and building Legos. Landon currently plans on pursing a career in the field of engineering or science when he grows up. He would like to thank his parents for their love and support and his teachers for all they have taught him.

3rd PLACE – 3rd-5th Grade
Rory Kopp is a fourth grade student at University Elementary School. She enjoys watching anime and learning about other cultures. Her favorite anime’s are Hanako and My Hero Academia. She is a free and creative spirit who enjoys making art, writing stories, signing, and playing with her cat Daisy.

Aubrie Hubbard is attending Ball State University to study dance. Aidan Reef just graduated. He currently owns a home bakery and hopes to continue honing his culinary skills. As a kid he always enjoyed reading and coming up with new ideas for stories, and still loves to write in any spare time he has. His other passions include music, circus arts, and being out in nature.
