Youth Theatre Ensembles

The Ensemble Program is designed to give young performers the experience of working on a professional quality theatre production, with intensive rehearsals and a fast-paced schedule. Over the course of a few weeks at the BPP, the group will learn the whole process of a real summer stock production.

YTE is open to area kids ages 9-15, who will learn about theatre first-hand this summer, as part of two intensive three-week programs:

The BPP has a long history of theatre education programs, including its annual Mini-Play Festival, the School of Dramatic Arts (SODA), and the Parks and Playwrights camp, part of the Parks Department’s Kids’ City program. The YTE Musical program made its debut at the BPP in 2001 with the successful musical Fiddler on the Roof, Jr., followed by Once on This Island Jr. and the YTE Shakespeare program made its debut two years ago with Shakespeare’s The Tempest to sold out houses.

Those interested are encouraged to sign up soon as space is limited and thes are some of the BPP’s most popular programs.
